Over the past couple months, I had the pleasure of participating in financial coaching courses with Taryn Ferrer of Money Honey, LLC. From beginning to end, my goals and perspectives have changed greatly and I am in a much better headspace than I was to start. Initially I went in thinking on a very basic level, that I needed to refocus my budgeting skills and everything would just balance out. Through Taryn’s very careful observations and thorough questioning, she was able to reguide my focus towards organization, planning and financial education. Within my sessions, she demonstrated her in-depth knowledge of financial literacy and a multitude of financial accounts/services. She used her excellent, down to earth communication skills to educate me on new programs and accounts using easy to understand dialogue for someone like myself who is not as fiscally experienced. She also used her background experience to help me fiscally plan for purchasing a home in my near future. One of many things I appreciated is how personal Taryn was, she took the time to get to know and understand my situations therefore I never felt pressured or lectured throughout our meetings. She was very respectful and targeted our sessions so that there were clear objectives for that call and specific goals for the upcoming conversations. One of the major things I did not expect to receive was a level of social guidance within my personal life where she was able to help me facilitate conversations with my partner on joint fiscal goals and planning. This was something that overall was causing a lot of stress on my mental which is now headed in a much more positive direction. I now have a solid, secure plan in savings, home buying, life goals and financial aspirations. Going forward, I feel that Taryn has prepared me with so many skills I will use for a lifetime.
